Q. What are the rates?
A. Presbyterian Homes & Services has housing and service options with varying price structures and rates including market rate, reduced rent and subsidized rent. To obtain specific rate information, please contact the Marketing/Admissions staff at the location of interest.

Q. How often is the rent increased?
A. All Presbyterian Homes communities review their budgets annually. A 35-40 day notice is given before a rent increase goes into effect.

Q. What types of assistance are accepted?
A. Presbyterian Homes’ communities participate in a variety of financial assistance programs such as Alternative Care Grant/Elderly Waiver, Medical Assistance, and long-term care insurance. Availability and payment types vary according to community and state. Assistance is dependent on income qualifications set by specific program guidelines.

Q. Where is MA (Medical Assistance) available?
A. Ten of Presbyterian Homes’ skilled nursing care centers are MA certified. In Minnesota, they are located in ARDEN HILLS, BLOOMINGTON, BROOKLYN CENTER, EDEN PRAIRIE, CAMBRIDGE, INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, NORTH OAKS, OAK PARK HEIGHTS and SPRING PARK (on LAKE MINNETONKA); in Iowa-WILLIAMSBURG and ANKENY; and in Wisconsin-NEW RICHMOND.

Q. How much will Medicare cover in assisted living?
A. Medicare is a federal health insurance program. It will cover some costs of home health/skilled nursing services.

Q. What will my long term care insurance pay for?
A. Some long term care insurance policies cover assisted living as well as skilled care centers. Policies vary, so please consult your insurance company’s benefits administrator to determine what your particular policy covers.
